Ramblings, reviews and random thoughts about life from a a teenager suffering from Peter Pan Syndrome.

GPOY — Prom Edition
I forgot to wear jewelry. I had no bracelet, necklace or earrings. It was pretty much just me and the dress. I think it turned out better than expected though.
I got my dress done a week before the event, saw it the night before and it still turned out stunning. I give props to Joel Escober for never failing me. He is still my favorite designer, and I highly recommend him for the quality and efficiency of his work.
If in any case that my dress wouldn’t have been finished in time, my date and I had a pact to wear pajamas instead. He didn’t agree to it unless they were striped. When we made that deal, I realized that you could tell how much your date really likes you, if they’re willing to attend a coat and tie event with you in sleepwear.
It took me a good 30 mins. to get contact lenses into my eyes, because I really don’t like wearing them until I have to. My eye lashes are too long that I need two people holding both into place before I can even hope to put them on. Maybe, I just suck at putting contacts.
So really, the hype isn’t there anymore when it’s your second prom. But I guess you need nights like these to help you break away from the monotony of every day life. A chance to see friends dressed up and look their best, a kind of glimpse into the future when they’d have to do this again. Probably graduation ball.
