7. Southern Lantern Festival
On 11/11/11 11:11:11pm, hundreds of lanterns lit the sky at Cuenca Park, Alabang. It was raining really hard last night, but through prayers and a couple of wishes, the event pushed through. I cannot tell you how pictures cannot give justice to how beautiful the sky looked. It was amazing.
Perhaps this is one of those once in a lifetime things not just because of the time, but because of the people you chose you celebrate it with. I spent mine with a few friends as an advance celebration of our barkada’s 6th anniversary.
I spent it with two of my favorite gentlemen, after a few songs on the piano and stories shared over a good dinner. For people who only see each other a few times a year, I can’t tell you how special tonight was for me. I missed them, a lot. I also got to see a lot of old friends that I haven’t seen in a while.
It’s one of those nights that you feel as if you’re part of something bigger. I had a good night tonight, and really, I can’t imagine having spent it any other way. :)
